Many successful people credit one or more mentors who made a big difference in helping them achieve early success. Mentoring isn't just useful for the person you are assisting, it's great for you in a variety of ways. For one thing, mentoring provides that wonderful feeling you get when you help someone and make a difference in his or her life.
So my question for you is, if you are not mentoring someone, why not?

CalPREP is in need of mentors that will help support our students to become college and career ready. We need YOU to help make a difference in a student's life. Become the role model they've been looking for and be the guidance they need to reach their goals.
As a mentor you will spend at least one hour per week with students sharing your experiences and encouraging them to achieve their dreams.

We are seeking speakers that can inspire the youth and help them become excited and more knowledgable about higher education. Help in giving group presentations to high school students, share your experience and knowledge about colleges, careers, financial aid, being a first generation college student, etc.
